چکیده
The study included the extraction and purification of glucose oxidase enzyme from Penicillium chrysogenum, pure by precipitation with ammonium sulfate at a saturation rate 70% specific activity in this step reached (10.802) units/mg fold 1.276, was followed dialysis step, 13,593 48.184. Finally, ion exchange chromatography using DEAE-Cellulose column, 19.355 units/mg, 36.59, after which migrated electrophoresis device one protein bundle appeared.

Extraction, Optimization and Characterization of Chitosan from Penicillium chrysogenum
Chitosan is a derivative of chitin, the second most abundant natural polymer on earth after cellulose. It is the major component of skeletal or exoskeletal structure of lower animals, particularly crustacea, molluscs and insects. It is also present in a vast majority of fungi as the principle fibrillar polymer of the cell wall. Fungal cell walls and septa of Extraction of chitosan from fungi is...
متن کاملThe oxidation of glucose by Penicillium chrysogenum.
Studies on the mechanism of glucose metabolism by penicillia are few. The fact that Snell (1949) and Kita (1951) found none of the phosphorylated esters of the Embden-Meyerhof scheme in PeniciUium chrysogenum, strain Q176, and that penicillia contain glucose oxidase (Birkinshaw and Raistrick, 1943) would indicate a priori that glucose is metabolized oxidatively by the mold. The following data i...
متن کاملOptimal Conditions for Extraction and Purification of Penicillinase Enzyme
Background and Objective: The present study aimed to evaluate the optimum conditions for extracting and purifying penicillinase enzyme. The enzyme source was Bacillus licheniformis 6346 obtained from the Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology. Materials and Methods: B. licheniformis was cultured in a medium containing mineral salts, nitrogen compounds, and cultured carbon sou...
متن کاملPurification of a new fungal mannose-specific lectin from Penicillium chrysogenum and its aphicidal properties.
Several Ascomycetes fungi are commonly used in bio-industries and provide available industrial residues for lectin extraction to be valuable. A lectin from Penicillium chrysogenum, named PeCL, was purified from a fungal culture using gel-filtration chromatography column. PeCL was found to be a mannose-specific lectin by haemagglutination activity towards rabbit erythrocyte cells and was visuali...
متن کاملHomocitrate synthase from Penicillium chrysogenum. Localization, purification of the cytosolic isoenzyme, and sensitivity to lysine.
Subcellular fractionation of cell-free extracts obtained by nitrogen cavitation showed that Penicillium chrysogenum Q176 contains a cytosolic as well as a mitochondrial homocitrate synthase activity. The cytosolic isoenzyme was purified about 500-fold, and its kinetic and molecular properties were investigated. Native homocitrate synthase shows a molecular mass of 155 +/- 10 kDa as determined b...
